Interstellar Arc is a large-scale immersive VR experience situated between narrative cinema, interactive exhibition, and theme park ride. Set aboard a multi-generational starship traveling toward an exoplanet, the experience unfolds as a continuous environment shaped by systems, interfaces, and the accumulated history of the world since the journey began.

01 . Graphic Systems
The graphic systems were developed as a layered framework, with foundational elements—grid systems, typography, and logos—establishing the principles that govern the project as a whole. These early decisions define hierarchy, vernacular, and systems, extending across every component of the experience. Holographic elements, three-dimensional design, and spatial systems all originate from this foundation, carrying its logic into more complex forms.

02 . Hologram Design
This section explores the application of the graphic systems within more complex, dimensional contexts. Building on the principles established in Graphic Systems, the work extends the visual language into volumetric structures, testing how it operates across scale, depth, and time. The focus shifts from foundational elements to applied systems, where graphic logic informs the construction of holographic forms and spatial interactions.

03 . 3D Concepts
This phase explores how the established design principles extend into physical three-dimensional objects. The primary focus was the suit worn by each participant, a central element repeated throughout the experience and encountered at close range. The same system is applied across additional objects, including garments, cryogenic systems, and transport vehicles, testing how the stylized utilitarian design operates across different forms and functions.

A Replica of Infinity is an ongoing body of work examining how meaning, identity, and memory emerge from incomplete information over time. The project treats digital imagery as a system shaped by repetition and loss, with resolution functioning as a compositional tool. Legibility wavers, with images approaching and receding from recognition, yet retaining the instability of memory.

The introductory cinematic for Battlefield 2042 establishes the geopolitical and environmental conditions of the world within the game, providing narrative context and positioning the viewer. This case study is broken into four parts: Cinematic, Content, UI + Maps, and Network.

02 . Content
This section of the case study focuses on the visual development of the content inside the Network—the system through which global events, media, and data are observed throughout the film. It traces the evolution of visual language, material treatment, and spatial logic that allowed disparate media—video, imagery, audio, and data—to coexist within a single, coherent system.

03 . UI + Maps
UI and typographic systems functioned as critical narrative devices, used to convey context, establish time, and embed secondary layers of information throughout the film. These elements operate across the sequence as both structure and texture, supporting the progression from present day to the world of 2042.

04 . Network
This part of the case study documents the development of the Network, a foundational system introduced in the project’s initial treatment. The Network functioned as both a narrative device and a structural framework, providing the visual and spatial logic through which the world of 2042 could be revealed.
04 / EX/AD
For Dolby Dimension, a headphone system designed to control and spatialize audio, the brief was to bring into focus existing brand language using abstract form to suggest sound. Arriving at a system for visualizing audio using points and lines, this case study explores the development of these elements and the film itself.

FITC Tokyo 2015 marked the festival’s sixth year, bringing together a global roster of digital artists, designers, and technologists. The title sequence was developed to reflect the city itself, translating its visual and cultural contrasts into a graphic system.
